Redland Golf Event Saturday August 1st @ Henbury

The next Redland Golf Society event will be held on Saturday (yes you did read it correctly) August 1st at Henbury Golf Club. The cost will be £20, starting time of 1.00pm to be confirmed. This will also mark Jeff Hargreaves retirement from full-time sales at ABB. Jeff is kindly providing a barbeque at the Bristol Lawn Tennis & Squash Club later that evening for those that were able to build up a thirst and appetite. You should register your interest with Chris Newick or Jeff Hargreaves as numbers on the golf course are limited; I look forward to seeing you there, best regards Tony Debling.

Golf Day Saltford Friday 10th October 2008

Redland Golf Society -- for members of Bristol Lawn Tennis & Squash Club and Friends - is pleased to announce it's Autumn Event is to be held at Saltford Golf Club, Golf Course Lane, Saltford. First tee will be at 1.00pm, so best to arrive around 12.30pm, price of £40 includes 18 hole stableford, dinner (roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, followed by apple pie with custard or ice cream), with generous prizes. Further prizes may be donated. If anyone would like to donate a cup or shield of an appropriately high quality that would be particularly well appreciated.

As usual there are dress regulations specified; proper golfing clothes and footwear MUST be worn at all times; men - tailored shorts of a reasonable length and sports socks; women - tailored shorts (not specified whether or not these should be of a reasonable length) and sports socks; shirts MUST be tucked into trousers, trousers MUST NOT be tucked into socks. Clubhouse - smart casual must be worn at all times; shirts must be tucked into trousers; collarless shirts and tracksuits are NOT allowed at anytime either on the course or in the clubhouse; jeans are not accepted but smart trainers are now allowed (ed. Autumn Meeting 2006 - Dewstow 6th October 12.15pm

The Autumn 2006 event will be held at Dewstow Golf Club in Caerwent, Monmouthshire [Tel: 01291 430444]. Meet at the club at 12:25pm for coffee and bacon sandwiches. The golfing event will be an 18-hole Stableford with first group teeing off at 1:00pm. Evening meal will be served at 6:00pm. Cost is £30 per person and in addition to the food and golf will include lavish prizes to the top performers.
